Microsoft Surface 2 RT, Is it still usable in 2018, a Revisit

Microsoft’s second addition to the surface family, ‘the surface 2’ was a really innovative product when it was launched in 2013. The surface 2 was able to solve all the problems that the first surface had. The surface 2 spotted a 1920x1080 IPS LCD Capacitive touch screen which was much better than its predecessor surface 1 which came in a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. The smaller pixels gave the surface 2 a fresh look and took it in par with the Apple’s ipad 5 released at that time making it one of the high end tablets available during that time. The surface 2 was slimmer, sleaker and was more attractive than the original surface.
The surface 2 had a more powerful Nvidia Tegra Quad Core processor and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The surface 2 was released with windows 8.1 RT and with MS office pre installed. It had the usual refinements from the original surface like stereo speakers but this time the sound quality was much better and with a USB 3.0 full sized port rather than the regular USB 2.0 port found in the original surface making it capable of high speed data transfers. The surface 2 came in 2 variants 32gb and 64gb like the original surface. The surface 2 provided more battery backup than its predecessor with about 10 hours of continuous video playback. The surface 2 spotted a 3.5MP primary camera for skype and video calls with 720p recording and a 5MP rear shooter capable of 1080p video recording. The surface 2 had a Micro-SD slot just like the surface which supports cards up to 64gb.

Surface 2 had a new kickstand which could be adjusted in 2 angles making it more comfortable to use than the original surface. The surface 2 keyboards are now backlit making it more comfortable to use in dark environments and is available as type 2 and touch 2 ones. The keyboards still needs to be purchased separately.
Even after 5 years of its release Microsoft is still pushing updates to the surface 2 and it performs as smooth and fast as it was in 2013. The apps available has depleted over time with Microsoft focusing to develop apps for windows 10 but still there are a good lot of apps available for the surface and it performs well even now and could be used for regular office work or for students.

The surface 2 was priced at 499 $ when it was first launched in 2013. Now after five years you could find a brand-new surface 2 for around 200$. The price has reduced to more than 60% of its original value making it a good bargain for college students.
The surface 2 performs much better compared to the chromebooks available now making it popular among students.

Most of you might Be wondering what this Zune is? Well, most of you might not even have heard about "ZUNE." It's primarily because Zune was not that popular, especially outside the United States. Zune is a music player developed by Microsoft as a rival for apple's iPod. Even though Zune came out with pretty respectable specs, it couldn't compete against the already popular iPod versions. By that time, several manufacturers started making their versions of mp3 players. It's hard to forget the Zune. After all, Microsoft's mid-2000s bi d to sink the iPod with an MP3 player of its own was notable for its immense thirst. Zune  was a line of  digital media  products and services marketed by  Microsoft .
